
Survey: Cloud storage no threat to SMB NAS systems

Cloud storage services don't represent the death knell for small and medium-sized business (SMB) network-attached storage (NAS), which is expected to grow to more than $2 billion in 2015.
According to a recent survey by market research firm In-Stat, about seven in 10 SMBs that use cloud-based storage services today also use onsite NAS systems. In 2010, worldwide SMB unit shipments grew by 46.5 percent.
