BT sets up B2B telepresence for Wipro in India

IT service company Wipro Technologies will soon experience the power of B2B TelePresence technology from Cisco, which will run on BT’s global multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) network.
Under the agreement, BT will provide B2B exchange connectivity which will enable seamless video and voice communications between Wipro, its partners and customers. BT’s solution provides Wipro with complete on-going support using BT's Video Business Unit (VBU) Concierge service. BT’s Global Video Exchange service - a fully managed B2B Telepresence service - will enable Wipro to reach outside of its enterprise to develop a virtual ecosystem that connects with global clients, partners and vendors that are critical to its business success.

The solution uses high-definition video and multi-dimensional sound to offer a high quality, life-like videoconferencing experience, giving users the feeling of being in the same room as the other participants, wherever those participants happen to be.

With this solution, BT has integrated audio, web conferencing and a UC video solution delivered as a managed service giving users within Wipro access to anyone in an organization from any location to join a conference and - most importantly - across different networks.
