Malaysia's Maxis signs five-year IT services agreement with IBM

Malaysia’s mobile telecommunications operator, Maxis Communications Berhad, recently announced that it has entered into a five-year information technology services relationship with IBM. This relationship will enable Maxis to fast-track the transformation of the company’s IT services and solutions to deliver multi-faceted, innovative and enriching experiences to its subscriber base of over 11 million in Malaysia. Under the agreement, IBM will support Maxis’ transformation of key business processes over the next five years, including customer relationship management, service delivery platform to support value-added and data services, business intelligence and dealer management. In addition, Maxis and IBM will also jointly engage in innovation projects with a focus on extending existing business capabilities to address new market opportunities and drive business process innovation to achieve new benchmarks in service quality. The agreement was signed on January 31, 2009.
